Thank you everyone who made the Meals on Wheels Christmas day delivery special for our clients. Two staff, their families and 14 volunteer meal delivery “elves” helped deliver 99 meals. Along with a turkey dinner, gifts were provided by several businesses, groups and individuals:
Are you prepared for winter weather?
Last winter caught many of us off guard. The snow began in early December and kept on coming. It was the snowiest winter in years! The weather’s effect was felt at Meals on Wheels with meal delivery shut down on three different days- historical in our books. Although we do our best to get everyone a meal when they request it, the safety of our volunteers and staff is paramount.
We remind all clients to have some food on hand in case of an emergency.

Meals on Wheels London is a not for profit organization providing volunteer supported meal and transportation services to adults with disabilities and seniors.

Meals on Wheels London will be participating in the "Building an Age Friendly London" event for older adults, seniors, families and caregivers on Friday November 4, 2011. Doors open at 8:30 am at the Hellenic Centre: 133 Southdale Road West, London, Ontario. Admission fee is $5 (includes lunch).
Annual General Meeting
Meals on Wheels London's Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday June 23, 2011 at First-St. Andrew's United Church (beside the Meals on Wheels London office). 4-5pm.
Walking Towards Independence!
Meals on Wheels London hosted the annual “Walk for Wheels” event upstairs at the Covent Garden Market on Friday March 25, 2011. What a spectaculat afternoon, we're still smiling!
Meals on Wheels - December Sponsor Edition
On December 7, 2010 get more than a meal. The Sponsor Edition fundraiser is an event that provides the best meal you’ll ever receive, the one that keeps on giving. For every fresh and nutritious meal you purchase, you directly sponsor a meal for someone who can’t otherwise afford it. It’s simple, you get a meal, someone else gets a meal.
The Little Red Roaster offers a choice of three tasty menu options for only $10. All meals are delivered chilled right to your office and include raspberry swirl cake.

After an exhaustive three month search and vetting process, the Staff and Board of Directors of Meals on Wheels London are proud to announce that London's The Little Red Roaster has been awarded the exclusive contract to supply over 53,000 fresh food meals annually for Meals on Wheels London.
